Celebrate Canada Day with the City of Sarnia. From the Canada Day Parade at 11:30 a.m.; to family fun at Canatara Park from 11 a .m. to 4 p.m.; to live entertainment and fireworks at Centennial Park from 6 to 11 p.m.; there are no shortage of ways to enjoy July 1!
Canatara Park
Join the City July 1 at Canatara Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a wide array of fun for all ages and interests. Check out the annual Canada Day Parade, Handmade Vendor Market, activities on the field, bandshell entertainment and more!
Canada Day Parade
The parade kicks off at 11:30 a.m., starting from the intersection of Colborne Road and Lakeshore Road, heading west on Lakeshore then south on Christina Street before heading through the park on Lake Chipican Drive and finishing on Sandy Lane.

There will be plenty to enjoy in the field at Canatara Park, including:

Head over to the bandshell at noon for a performance from the Lambton Concert Band before Opening Ceremonies featuring the National Anthem; remarks from the Sarnia Canada Day Committee and dignitaries; Parade Winners announcement; and birthday cupcake giveaways.
Centennial Park
Canada Day with the City of Sarnia continues at Centennial Park on July 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. with food vendors, busker performances, face painting, interactive hockey, interactive curling, and the Annual Fireworks Show off the Bay.

Fireworks
The Annual Fireworks Show off the Bay will return July 1, kicking off at 10 p.m.

Transit Service
Sarnia Transit will offer special free shuttle services to both Canatara Park and Centennial Park, allowing visitors to park off site.
Shuttles will run between Northgate Terminal and Canatara Park, every half hour, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and from 1 to 4 p.m.

Cycle into Canada Day
We’re encouraging residents to ride their bike to Canada Day festivities.

Road Closures
Several road closures will be in effect at varying times on July 1 to accommodate the parade, Centennial Park celebrations and fireworks, including:
- Lakeshore Road from Indian Road to Christina Street North; Christina Street North from Lakeshore Road to Cathcart Boulevard; and Lake Chipican Drive from 9 a.m. to approximately 1 p.m.
- Front Street from London Road to Exmouth Street from 9 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.
- Harbour Road west of the marina entrance from 3 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.
