Kel-Gor Donation to the Sarnia Arena

By City Staff

The Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce that Kel-Gor has recently donated $50,000 towards the Sarnia Arena Revitalization fundraising campaign.

This donation will count as part of our community fundraising share towards the Sarnia Arena Revitalization Project.  The campaign balance currently sits at $172,300.00 towards our goal of $491,667.00.

Improvements will be based on revitalizing the historical elements of the facility and improving the experience of the users while exceeding the AODA standards for legislative compliance, improving the energy efficiency opportunities in alignment with the City of Sarnia’s Energy Conservation and Demand Management Plan. Façade and exterior repairs, lobby and concession improvements, barrier free access to washrooms and change room upgrades are planned for this project.

Staff would like to acknowledge and thank Kel-Gor for their financial commitment to the Sarnia community through this generous donation.
