CITY OF SARNIA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Please be advised that a Public Hearing of City Council is scheduled under subsection 34 (12) of the Planning Act for Monday, June 19th, 2017, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, to hear the application listed below. Sarnia City Council Public Meeting begins at 4:00 p.m.
Persons wishing to speak to this application are requested to notify the City Clerk on or before noon, Wednesday, June 14th, 2017, in order to be placed on the Agenda, although anyone in attendance will be given an opportunity to address Council on this matter.
AREA MAP OF SUBJECT LAND
Rezoning Application No. 4-2017-85 of 2002 is a Zoning By-law amendment application submitted by 1432334 Ontario Inc. regarding lands identified municipally as 811 London Road as shown on the area map.
The Applicant is proposing to amend the existing Local Commercial 1-13 (LC1-13) Site Zoning of the subject lands to permit 4 new residential units and a community centre use in the existing building. This rezoning will have the effect of permitting a total of 6 residential units in addition to the existing medical centre/clinic, day nurseries and accessory uses presently permitted on the site. New development to the site would include internal renovations to the existing building and possible modifications to the existing parking lot.
A copy of the Planning Department report with recommendations and copies of the proposed Zoning By-law amendment will be available at the Planning and Building Department, 3rd. Floor, City Hall, on or after Friday, June 16th, 2017. PLANNING ACT INFORMATION FOR ZONING AMENDMENT
If a person or public body does not make an oral submission at a public meeting or make a written submission to the Corporation of the City of Sarnia before the zoning by-law is passed, the person or public body:
- is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Corporation of the City of Sarnia, for the zoning by-law, to the Ontario Municipal Board; and
- may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there is reasonable grounds to do so; and
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Council of the Corporation of the City of Sarnia in respect of the proposed zoning by-law amendment, you must make a written request to the City of Sarnia, P. O. Box 3018, 256 Christina St. North, Sarnia, Ontario N7T 7N2.
