Sarnia Fire Rescue Services Recruitment

By City Staff

The City of Sarnia has partnered with Ontario Fire Administration Inc. (OFAI) for Sarnia Fire Rescue Services’ next scheduled recruitment.

OFAI provides a standardized testing approach to candidates pursuing a firefighting career in municipal fire departments across Ontario.

The three stage testing process is designed to validate candidates with the physical abilities and practical skills required of a firefighter.

Candidates must complete and pass all required tests to obtain an OFAI Candidate Testing Certificate before they can be considered within the application process for Sarnia Fire Rescue Services.

Our next firefighter recruitment process is scheduled to take effect early in 2018.

Applicants interested in pursuing a career with Sarnia Fire Rescue Services are encouraged to check out OFAI’s website at www.ofai.ca for more information on eligibility requirements and testing dates.

We will be hosting an open house in Council Chambers on Thursday, January 4th from 6 – 8 pm to provide further information on OFAI Candidate Testing Certificates and the recruitment process.
