Cooperative Efforts at 2018 Float Down

The 2018 “Float Down” which saw both American and Canadian citizens float down the St. Clair River occurred with no major injuries or incidents thanks to cooperation among Canadian and American first responders and authorities.

The safety of residents and visitors is a priority for the City of Sarnia. As such, City staff, Sarnia Police Service, and Sarnia Fire Rescue Services, along with several other support agencies attended the event and provided assistance.

The City of Sarnia thanks all first responders and American and Canadian authorities for their efforts and cooperation in ensuring the safety of Sarnia citizens and visitors.
