To participate, just arrive at the location at the designated time for the drop-in activity and pay the applicable fees.

Consult the drop-down sections below for information related to booking facilities and amenities such as ice time, diamonds, picnic tables, and fields.

I have booked a facility. How do I know the booking has been reviewed and approved by staff? How do I know my facility rental contract has been approved?

Staff will email you with your contract once it has been approved. The contract will also be uploaded under the ‘Documents’ drop-down menu toward the bottom of your Family Member Detail page. You can access your Family Member Detail page by clicking on ‘My Info’ in the top toolbar of the portal then selecting the family member from the Client List.

Why are facilities only bookable up to 45 days in advance?

The 45-day timeline allows us flexibility to ensure that allocations for user groups and City programs are available as needed, while limiting instances where individuals may book large blocks of facility space as placeholders before cancelling closer to the date.

Why do bookings for ice and outdoor sports facilities held for opening until 14 days before their season opening date?

Given the importance of these facilities to established user groups such as minor sports organization and recreational leagues, we want to ensure that they are appropriately allocated facility time before opening registration for one-off use. Limiting bookings until 2 weeks before the season start ensures we have those allocations in place before opening up bookings.

Ice season opening dates:

  • Spring – April 1 (bookings open March 18)
  • Summer – July 1 (bookings open June 17)
  • Fall – September 1 (bookings open August 18)
  • Winter – January 1 (bookings open December 18)

Outdoor sport facilities season opens March 15 (bookings open March 1)

Please note, the availability / operation of outdoor facilities is weather dependent.

Why can’t I book Class A fields / diamonds, stages and special event spaces?

These unique facilities often require a greater level of staff interaction / involvement for users to access. For example, class A diamonds are locked when not in use. Given this we want to ensure that users engage with staff directly as part of the booking process so they are fully informed of any extra facility requirements, and that the facilities are adequately prepared to welcome them.
