eSSENTIAL Accessibility App
On June 11th, 2014 - The City of Sarnia became the 2nd City in the world to offer an app that empowers people with physical disabilities that want to access the information on the City of Sarnia website. People who cannot browse the web using conventional methods due to conditions such as paralysis can now use the app and the tools included to navigate the internet. This app is free to the user and is easy to use and download. Users can access the app by clicking on the blue wheelchair and keyboard icon on the City of Sarnia home page. This will take them to a City of Sarnia landing page where people can download the app for free and learn more about the City of Sarnia's accessibility programs.
The City of Sarnia is committed to providing a more diverse, accessible and inclusive community by helping remove barriers for people with disabilities. This app is one small step in accomplishing the goal of offering completely accessible services, programs and facilities.
