Compost Site

2017 Hours of Operation

Monday through Saturday, April 3rd to December 16th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Compost site gates are locked at 5:15 p.m. 

Site will not be open:

 

Debit and Credit cards are now accepted at the Compost Site.

The loader is available to load vehicles from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. except between 12 pm and 1 pm or when offsite due to mechanical failure.

Compost can be dropped off at no charge for leaves, grass, and garden waste. There is a small fee for brush. Brush includes tree branches, hedges, shrubs, rose bushes, logs, and stumps. There is no limit on the diameter of the material dropped off at the compost site. If the brush is set out at the curb for collection by the City, then the branches cannot exceed 4 inches in diameter and be no longer than 4 feet in length.

Compost must be in clear or paper bags, or open containers marked on two sides with an ‘X’, no heavier than 48 pounds. Brush must be tied in bundles no longer than 4 feet or in open containers marked on two sides with an ‘X’.
