The proposed development is located on the west side of Marion Avenue, close to the intersection of Old Lakeshore Road and Marion Avenue.

Approximately 0.37 ha (0.91 ac) 

The purpose and effect of the proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision is to subdivide the subject lands into seven (7) single detached lots for residential purposes. All the proposed single detached lots will have direct access to Marion Avenue and be serviced by municipal water and sewer services.

In accordance with the Planning Act, there will be no public meeting for this Draft Plan of Subdivision Application. You may submit comments by email to planning@sarnia.ca, mail to City of Sarnia, c/o Community Services Division, 255 Christina Street North, P.O. Box 3018, Sarnia ON N7T 7N2, or place them in the mail slot on the right-hand side of the Christina Street North entrance.

To ensure your comments are included in the City Council Agenda, comments must be received by 12:00 pm on Friday, June 21, 2024.

If you wish to be notified of Council’s decision in respect of the proposed plan of subdivision, you must make a written request to the City Clerk by email (clerks@sarnia.ca), in person or by mail to 255 Christina Street North, P.O. Box 3018, Sarnia ON N7T 7N2.

Appeal Information

Any person may make written submissions to Council on the proposed Plan of Subdivision prior to Council making a decision. However, please note that the rights of third parties to appeal plans of subdivision decisions to the Ontario Land Tribunal have been restricted under the Planning Act.

If a person or public body would otherwise have the ability to appeal the decision of City of Sarnia but does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, if one is held, or make written submissions to the City of Sarnia in respect of the proposed plan of subdivision before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the draft plan of subdivision, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision to the Ontario Land Tribunal.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, if one is held, or make written submissions to City of Sarnia in respect of the proposed plan of subdivision before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the draft plan of subdivision, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
