The City of Sarnia is working to ensure that all City programs and services are accessible to everyone in the community. We are committed to providing a high quality of accessible goods and services. .Our goal is to ensure that our policies, practices and procedures are consistent with the best practices and guiding principles of accessibility. Our policies and programs are designed to respect the dignity, independence, integration and equal opportunity for all members of our community.
 
AODA Accessibility Standards.
 
The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) is provincial legislation that is designed to ensure that Ontario is fully accessible by the year 2025. Through the AODA legislation, accessibility standards are developed for both the private and public sectors to ensure optimal service delivery in 5 key areas: 
  1. Customer Service
  2. Information and Communication
  3. Transportation
  4. Employment
